Question 1

What does a computer repair cost at your service?

Accepted Answer

Basic troubleshooting and repairs start at 399 SEK — you will always receive a clear quote before we replace parts or begin major work. The price depends on the damage: screen, battery, motherboard, fan, or software issues require different efforts. We help you fix your computer with transparent pricing and no hidden fees. With over 20 years of experience, Datorhjälp Lerum assists private individuals and businesses in Lerum, Partille, and Göteborg. Drop off your computer at Göteborgsvägen 3 or book a home visit. Call 072-297 55 25 or see /priser and /datorhjalp-lerum.

Question 2

Can you reinstall Windows on my computer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we perform clean installations or restorations of Windows 10 and Windows 11 with the correct drivers and basic protection. We ensure the right version is installed for your computer and that important updates are applied before you pick up the machine. If you want to keep files, we plan that in advance — otherwise, a clean installation may provide the best performance for serious issues. The price depends on whether data backup and restoration are required. Datorhjälp Lerum operates a workshop at Göteborgsvägen 3 and assists customers in Lerum, Partille, and Göteborg. Book via /windows-support or call 072-297 55 25.

Question 3

Do you repair MacBook and iMac?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we assist with MacBook, iMac, Mac mini, and MacBook Air — both hardware and macOS issues. Screen, battery, slow performance, network, and software errors are common cases. We assess whether repair is worthwhile compared to Apple prices and if spare parts are available. Some models require more specialized work — we tell you honestly before starting. Mac support starts at 599 kr. Datorhjälp Lerum offers macOS expertise at the workshop on Göteborgsvägen 3 in Lerum and serves customers in Partille and Göteborg. Book via /mac-hjalp or call 072-297 55 25.

Question 4

I am affected by ransomware — can you help?

Accepted Answer

Contact us immediately and turn off the computer — do not restart repeatedly. We isolate the infection, remove malicious code, and assess whether files can be decrypted or restored from a backup. Modern ransomware often encrypts files irreversibly without a backup — we are honest about the chances. We also help strengthen protection so it doesn’t happen again. Companies in Lerum, Partille, and Göteborg can get emergency help. Datorhjälp Lerum has handled ransomware for over 20 years. Call 072-297 55 25 directly or book via /virus-borttagning.

Question 5

Where can I drop off my computer for repair in Lerum?

Accepted Answer

You can drop off your computer at our workshop on Göteborgsvägen 3 in central Lerum after a booked appointment. Drop-in is temporarily closed — book via /boka, call 072-297 55 25, or contact us so we can prepare for your arrival. We accept laptops, desktop PCs, monitors, and accessories from Lerum, Floda, Gråbo, Partille, Göteborg, and Alingsås. Upon drop-off, we document symptoms and requests to ensure nothing is missed. See /datorhjalp-lerum for an overview of our repair services.

Question 6

Can you replace a broken laptop screen?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we replace screens on most laptop brands when the spare part is available to order. Cracks, black spots, flickering image, or a completely black screen even though the computer starts are common signs of screen failure. We first verify that the issue is not with the graphics card or cable before ordering a new panel. The price varies depending on the model and screen type — you will get a quote before any order is placed. Repairs are done at the workshop on Göteborgsvägen 3 in Lerum. Book via /byt-skarm-laptop or call 072-297 55 25.
