RAM affects how many programs you can keep open beside the game — and reduces stutter when loading worlds. In 2026, 16 GB is minimum for modern titles; 32 GB is recommended if you stream or run Discord + Chrome with many tabs.

8 GB: only lighter games and older titles — not recommended for new AAA 2026.

Dual channel matters
